More memory = less paging to disk = faster site = happier users. Post in comments if you experience any significant changes as a result.

The server will be taken down for about 30 minutes sometime between now and Friday afternoon for a memory upgrade. So, if you're browsing and suddenly it stops working, that's why. Nothing to be alarmed about.

Normally, updates older than 20 days and comments older than 100 days are supposed to be automatically culled, but since the server switch in November that hadn't been happening. So, I just re-enabled this and spent 2 hours running the script that deletes all the old updates. Sorry for the inconvenience, but hopefully this should help resolve the complaints people were having about too many old updates in their boxes.
